Brenden is a skilled results-oriented physiotherapist with over seven years of experience with rehabilitation and physical therapy. His treatment approach consists of a hands-on patient-centric focus utilizing a combination of manual therapy and specific exercise prescription to address the underlying issue and any contributing factors.
Brenden continues to hone his craft and has successfully completed level 3 of the orthopedic levels towards becoming a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manual and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapists (FCAMPT). He has also attained certification in Integrated Dry Needling (CIDN), and is rostered to perform acupuncture, dry needling, and spinal manipulation techniques.
Brenden likes to stay active by hiking nearby trails and conservation areas with his dog. During the summer and fall months he ventures on multi-day backcountry camping trips either on foot or by canoe.
Being involved at an early age in several sports including soccer, volleyball, and snowboarding, David has had his fair share of injuries, including a serious knee injury that required him to undergo extensive physiotherapy. This gave him a profound perspective on the rehabilitation process as a patient, which he has carried with him. This experience has allowed him to more clearly understand patients’ needs.
David is dedicated to providing quality patient-focused care through manual therapy, education, and patient specific therapeutic exercises. He believes that the key to successful treatment starts with a thorough assessment to determine the root cause of pain or injury. David believes in continuous learning and has training in Mulligan Techniques, McKenzie Treatment approach to low back and neck pain, Manual Therapy, acupuncture, and dry needling.
David is also a member of the Toronto Written Development Group (WIGC) for the Canadian Alliance of Physiotherapy Regulators, where he is involved with the development of content for the Physiotherapy Competency Exam. In his free time, David enjoys cycling, travelling, and exploring the Toronto food scene.
